English Squared - Self Paced Plans & Pricing

English Squared offers a convenient, self-paced, online, affordable English for STEM program. To get the most out of what we have to offer we suggest the following:

• Online Self-Paced Course

• Level of English: B1 or higher

• Price: Can purchase individual modules, or as part of a monthly plan. Each module ranges from 25 to 100 Brazilian Real’s ($5-20 USD/Euros). These do not include private lessons, which will need to be purchased separately. However, by purchasing a private lesson plan you get access to the self-paced materials AND have access to our teachers!

• Length: At 2-3 lessons per week, the total course is 12 months.

• Each individual module can take from 1-4 hours but will vary.

• Program: Consists of self-paced, online lessons in the suggested format.

  1. One lesson is per week dedicated to the Cambridge Professional English for Engineers book. Each section is 2 pages and is designed for engineers so they can learn words and phrases appropriate for their field. At 45 sections, and 1 lesson a week, this can be completed in a year.

  2. Second lesson uses Collins Cobuild key words for engineering dictionaries and some matching and online exercises.

  3. Third lesson per week is focused on reading, writing, and comprehension. Google Docs and articles of interest have been provided, so that the student reads the article before class, and can highlight, take notes, and type questions as needed. Answers are submitted online.

  4. The online program allows for access to some groups for discussion. If students wish to have private one-on-one classes as part of their online self-paced study, they can purchase them.

     • For materials the following printed books can be purchased directly from Cambridge or Collins or through the fair use clause of electronic materials as English Squared purchased them to be used in our classes for our school.

Quickstart:

2. Take the Cambridge English Language Assessment to obtain your score (link is in the app).

3. Schedule a no-cost planning strategy session with one of our teachers.

4. Determine if self-paced, one-on-one private lessons, or a mixture are best for your time, needs, and budget.
